| Mr Hossain was trained in A F Fergusan & Co during 1966 to 1973 and qualified as CA in 1976, become fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) in the year 1986. Mr Hossain has expertise in audit, tax and special assignments. He is involved in the audit of MNC & PLC, RMG Industries accounts, POL marketing companies accounts, Gas transmission & distribution company accounts, Exploration & drilling company accounts, Tea Industries accounts etc. He is also involved in the net worth evaluation of Oil marketing companies, Lubricant manufacturing company, Steel Re-rolling Mills, Edible Oil Industries, Cement and Paints manufacturing Industry. He was elected five times as Vice President of the ICAB during the period from 2004 to 2013. He was President of the ICAB during 2014. He is currently Member of the Board of Directors of Union Bank Limited and Chittagong WASA. He is the Independent Director of the Chittagong Stock Exchange Ltd and a Member Academic Council of Daffodil International University, Dhaka. Prior to joining the profession as a Partner of Hoda Vasi Chowdhury & Co, Chartered Accountants in 1998,he worked in Oil Refinery and Petro Chemical Complex at home and abroad for about 18 years in different capacities in the areas of Finance & Accounts. He also worked as Director of Finance in a local “Group company” having about 35 industrial units, mainly with garments and textile. |
